“Why isn’t my internet working?”
Verify the location of the equipment and that it’s powered up and plugged in correctly. Unplug both the modem and the router. Plug the modem back in first. After it syncs up and the online/Internet light is solid, plug in the wireless router. Give the router a minute to boot up. Ensure you’re connected to the correct WiFi network for the house and test your connection again. If unable to bring up any web pages or apps, please call us at 800-459-2256.
“why isn’t My laptop seeing any available wireless networks?”
Make sure your wireless adapter is enabled on your laptop. There is usually a toggle switch on the side of your laptop or there might be a function key button in order to turn the wireless adapter on to scan for networks.
“I’m connected to the wireless network. why won’t any web pages load?”
Verify the location of the equipment and that it’s powered up and plugged in correctly. Unplug both the modem and the router. Plug the modem back in first. “I can connect to the network but it gives me a Charter Sign-Up Page.”
Your modem has lost its provision and will need to be activated. Please call 800-459-2256 for assistance.
“I can’t get my Smart Device/TV online.”
Silicon Travel routers have a complex firewall configuration for guest and owner security. Certain smart devices will need to be added to the “allow” list within the firewall. Please call 800-459-2256 and a technician will be able to add your device to the network.
“The phones aren’t working/no dial tone.”
Verify the silver VoIP adapter is plugged into a power outlet and that the CAT 5 cable is plugged into the blue port on the silver VoIP adapter and that the other end is plugged into one of the Ethernet ports on the wireless router. “HOW DO I ACCESS MY LIVE STREAMING TV SERVICE?”
Our TV Streaming Service is only accessible on the following devices:
- Roku TVs and Roku Streaming Sticks (Recommended)
- Samsung Smart TVs (2012 or newer)
- Apple TV and devices running iOS 12 or higher
- Android devices running Android 5.0 or higher
- Google Chromecast
- Xbox One
Using one of these compatible streaming devices, locate and open the Spectrum Streaming App. Your channel guide should automatically load. If it asks for login credentials, please contact support at 800-459-2256.
